How to create a photoblog with Blockstar
Follow these steps to create a photoblog using the Blockstar Website Builder.
Step 1. Create a web page in the file manager by clicking the New Page button in the toolbar.
Step 2. We are going to have a header and a blog in our page, so we will divide the page in half by clicking on the H Split button. After that we will resize the page by dragging the border between the blocks up.
Step 3. Now we are going to add a header to the page by clicking on the top block and then clicking the New Text button.
Step 4. With the header on the page, now it is time to add a blog to the bottom block by clicking the New Blog button. The blog editor will launch as soon as you create your blog.
Step 5. This is what the blog editor looks like when it does not have any entries in it. If you only want one photo per page to appear, change the Entries Per Page box to 1 and then click update.
Step 6. Now you need to add a blog entry. To do this, click on the Add Entry button and add a title for your entry. Your entry title will appear in the table on the left, click on it to bring up the rich text editor for that entry.
Step 7. Now you can add an image into the rich text editor. There are two different places to add images from, the file manager or from your desktop. Click Insert Image to add one from your file manager. Click Upload Image to add one from your desktop.
After you have added your image, make sure you click the Save Entry button at the bottom of the rich text editor. Now close the blog editor and you will be brought back to the web page editor.
Step 8. Back in the web page editor, you will now see your photo blog in the page. At this point you should make any refinements to your page before you publish. We have centered our photoblog by selecting the "Center" H Alignment dropdown. We have also added the "molten_halloween.css" style to the page. When you are happy with how your page looks, close it.
Step 9. At this point you just need to pubslish your page to our servers so we can host it for you. To do that click the publish button.
Step 10. Once you are done publishing, view your photoblog by clicking on the View Website button in the file manager, and then selecting the page you just created when the website file manager comes up in your browser.
Step 11. Addding more images: To add more images to your photoblog, login to the website builder, select the blog folder, click on your blog and then click edit. This will bring up the blog editor with your blog in it. Once there repeat steps 5-7, and then publish your latest changes.
