If you encounter an installation error:
Some windows machines run into an installation error. We are working on fixing this. In the meantime, you can use this alternate method of installing and running Blockstar.
1. Create a folder called Blockstar in an easily accessible place on your computer.
2. Download this file, Blockstar.jar, to that folder.
3. Double click on the blockstar.jar file and this will launch the Blockstar Website Builder. You will need to double click on this file each time you want to run Blockstar.
You may get a message asking you what program to use to run the file, if you get this select Java. If you do not have the Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) version 5.0 or higher installed, then install it from Java.com to get the Website Builder to run.
1. Download the website builder file called blockstarinstall.pkg.zip.
2. The installer program should launch automatically when the download is complete. Follow the instructions in the installer.
3. The website builder will be installed in Applications/Blockstar. Click on the application called Blockstar in that folder to launch the website builder.
Important: Do not move the Blockstar folder out of Applications or the website builder will not work.
Java Download: Blockstar requires Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 or higher to operate. If you do not have this version, you can download it from Apple here.
